spork-day

Tomorrow's gonna be awkward...

Tomorrow, Corey's mom is having a cookout.  I'll be there while Corey is working and he'll be over when he's off.  I'll be meeting his mom and step-dad for the first time.  ALONE.

Will it be awkward?  HELL YES.

Will I make a good impression?  Probably.  I always impress my friends' parents with my sweet nature.

I also have been asked to do his laundry.  Now, you know you're comfortable with someone when you're willing to touch their dirty underwear.

Also, Corey and I keep getting asked, as he refers to it now, The Question.

Seriously, the next person that asks me if we're sleeping together will get this answer:

"Yes.  Yes we are.  We have wild, crazy, PASSIONATE sex every night.  Happy now?  That what you wanna hear?  Good, now shut.  UP."

I'm even going to tell my mother that when she asks me, AGAIN.

I mean, I understand people that I just told for the first time, but not people who have known and have had that question answered ALL SIX TIMES THEY ASKED IT.

Boy do _I_ have a story for YOU...

So, my roommate and I decided that since he got his check that evening that we were going to go to WalMart and do some shopping. He had things he needed to buy for the apartment before I had moved in, plus we needed to get me an air mattress. We were also going to go get some Papa Johns when we got home.

We spent the last few dollars we had on hand getting a cab down to said store. After an hour of shopping, we go to go cash his check. The customer service guy said (after supposedly verifying with a supervisor. I say supposedly, because the guy was asking about the wrong type of check) that they couldn't cash the check.

Pissed off, and understandably so, and not wanting to walk three miles to get home, we stayed there on the bench for FOUR HOURS. Four hours, ya'll. I slept on and off cause I was tired and since Corey was talking to someone on the phone, had no way to keep myself awake.

Finally, FINALLY, around 530 these two ladies come up and ask why we were sitting there all that time. Corey explained and they said, "Oh we can cash it, no problem!"

....

Four hours. FOUR HOURS.

And Corey and I STILL haven't eaten.  We haven't eaten since 12 noon yesterday.  PEOPLE SUCK.

These are from last week. LOL, sorry Sess....

Leave me a comment saying "DIFFICULT, DIFFICULT, LEMON DIFFICULT".
I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions

These questions come from the lovely sess_satan! )

As a BTW, I now reside in Cockeysville, MD.  Yes, I know, very weird name.  It was a suggestion once at the Colin and Brad show I went to and Colin grinned and said, "I have no clue how I'd be able to even suggest that to [Brad]."

Anywho, for now it's great, I guess.  Lol, for some reason I haven't be able to sleep really well for the past few days...

I'm going to go back to unpacking and organizing things now.  I really don't know what to do with all this stuff.  GRR.

She's okay! :D

My sister is okay, you guys. Her fever broke, and she's just grumpy because they took blood for blood work (plus she's teething). Although, they still don't know why her fever went up that high. It's times like these I wish House existed.

Thanks for the support guys! *hugs f-list*

PS: In an unrelated note, I made some molah at my yard sale. Wee!

EMERGENCY

My dad and step-mom just rushed my sister to the hospital. She has a temp of 105.

I'm really worried. She's been sick off and on for the past few months.

Please keep my family in your thoughts/prayers.

Writer's Block: Call Me

Do you still use a landline at home, or do you rely completely on your cell phone?

View other answers

I am proud to say that my family has a landline.

I'm not so proud to say that it's because the cell phones were shut off for a while...

Writer's Block: Rabbit Rabbit!

It's the first day of the month. If you could have one wish come true this month, what would it be?

View other answers

I would wish that I would be able to learn how to be happy being single.

Seriously, I'm getting kinda tired of everyone around me being with someone and me emoing about it.

And let's not forget the pressure to be with someone coming from my family...

Oy....

Littering.  Although, to be honest it's because I hate seeing messes.

My loneliness has hit a new low. Even for me.

I'm starting to develop a crush or feelings, or whatever on Keith, my dad's best friend.

In my defense, he's only older than me by five years.

And he's hot.

And it's just because I'm lonely.

NOT because I've always thought he was hot.

And CERTAINLY not because we would make great friends.

And I'm TOTALLY not thinking what it would be like if he actually found some time to see my dad and, wow! What a coincidence, I live here too! Haven't seen YOU for a while. You look good! Great even!

....

This is bad.

Since I like to not just take things as people say...

... I've decided to re-watch every episode of the original Star Trek to pick up any Spock/Uhura-ness that I may have missed.

And damn, so far I missed an obvious one in The Man Trap.  Where has my shipper vision been all these years?!  Oh that's right, I was too busy pretending I liked Spock/Chapel.

I KNEW something was off in that pairing.

BTW, does anyone watch Star Trek:  Phase II?  The latest episode (which was sooo totally late in being released) is... It's... There's no words.  SPOILERS, for those of you that DO care about it. lol )
Like I said - NO WORDS.

Oh, and I did a meme for TBBT. :D  Check it out!!

I've seriously given up hope....

.... On CBS's The Big Bang Theory's forums, that is.

Character bashing is on my list of absolute NOs in fandom.

There's an entire thread dedicated to how annoying Sheldon is. Why stop there? Why not have a thread about how grossly perverted Howard is? How so alcoholic dependent Raj has become when talking to women. How Leonard would chase any pretty girl that gives him the time of day. How Penny is slowly becoming dependent on alcohol and the guys and how it seems that she's become less social.

I'm sorry, but I can't take people seriously when they hate on characters. It's like when people would hate on Cameron. It made me feel uncomfortable and pissed off. I understand they're not real. That's not the point. It's just that I feel like I try and understand what the characters are really thinking and feeling, and when people take things at face-value, it makes me think they're too close-minded and too much of followers to actually think for themselves.

Characters are fictional people. Just like real people, they have flaws.

Sheldon, for example, IS very socially inept and is very honest about what he thinks of things/people and is very egotistical. But through the series, I'm hoping the writers will help him grow a little, to have him start to understand the world and how it works. They've already had him grow a little bit more.

That's what Penny is for. She's there to help the guys grow out of their little geeky shells. And in return, the guys are there to help HER grow as a person.

So haters (of any character, of any fandom), shut the hell up.

What. THE FUCK.

After fighting with my sister's fiance about my baby sister, and after scolding me for watching bootleg movies, he asks me what my favorite sex position is.

Again I state:

What.

THE.

FUCK.

The man needs to learn what's appropriate and what isn't.  'Cause I'm getting ready to e-slap him.

SPOOOOOOOILEEEEEERS

Before I begin I would like to say, no, I didn't watch the new House.  Not even bribing me with a ghostly Kutner made me want to watch the finale.  I'll cave in and watch it online eventually...

Writer's Block: When I Grow Up

Do you ever do anything now that you swore you would never do when you were younger? What is it?

View other answers

When I was given the talk by my mom (for the third time) and then had to sit through three years of being told in youth group that abstinence till marriage was something we needed to do, I swore I'd abide by that.

At the age of twenty-one, I quickly scrapped that in a heated moment of hormones and sexual frustration.
